One of my favorite photos,,she looks as if she's responding to someone paying her a compliment. 
Those prominent cheekbones, her smiling eyes, symmetric little nose, her hands which are always an extension of her sentiment. I adore every facet of this woman. Susan Boyle is attractive, always has been.
She's not ordinary.  Had her appearance truly been unappealing,  her talent may yet have been overlooked.

It unnerves me that she has repeated the cognitively disjunctive phrase "Don't judge a book by it's cover."
The cover of a worthwhile book is almost irrelevant.  (which isn't to say that a cover doesn't sell)
Susan makes a beautiful jacket cover.
